starJoined MACS in 1975 as a Research Assistant & started research career.

starResearch interests : Community nutrition & application of Biometric methods to the nutritional data for better understanding of human variation. Worked on research projects related to longitudinal adolescent growth study and urban under-nutrition.
starInvolved as a consultant in collabortive research project with KEM Hospital Research Centre, funded by WELLCOME Trust U.K. The project aimed to investigate the role of maternal nutrition in the fetal development and infant growth.
starLeading the group of field researchers by means of training and supervising the staff for field work .
starManagement of Data_bases through developing computer programmes for easy handling and analysing of our voluminous data collected in community field studies.
starRecently completed the consultancy work (For MRC, Southampton) to develop survey tools for assessment of maternal intake & activity of women from Mumbai Slum.
