Diseases in Children- Research studies (sponsored by the Wellcome
Trust, UK) began in 1980 and included extensive pioneering work
in Indian Childhood Cirrhosis. Present focus of research interest
is in characterisation of Wilson's Disease in India and the
Neonatal Cholestasis Syndrome. |

Gastroenterology- Specially interested in chronic diarrhoea
and nutrition. Involved in devising a special chicken based
feed, from Venkateshwara Hatcheries Ltd., for treatment of chronic
diarrhoea and oil supplementation to feeds of premature and
low birthweight babies. |

Childhood
disabilities- Keenly associated with the TDH Rehabilitation
Centre for handicapped children at the KEM Hospital. Specially
interested in causation and management of scholastic backwardness
in children.
