After post graduation, served as a Radiologist with the Abu Dhabi Government, UAE for six years. During this period, developed interest in ultrasound and got trained in Copenhagen Denmark under Dr Hans Henrik Holm. Returned to India in 1983 and have been in private practice as an Ultrasonologist since then.

'Maternal nutrition and fetal growth', a long term prospective study in rural Indian women undertaken by KEMH Research Centre in collaboration with the MRC unit, Southampton, UK   'Endocrine & metabolic factors in correlation with renal, pancreatic and ovarian appearances on ultrasound in low birth weight children of eight years of age', funded by the Wellcome Trust, UK   'Fetal cardioplacental interaction and postnatal sequel in growth retarded fetuses', in association with Congenital Heart Research Center, Oregon Health Sciences University, USA
