Graduated in Life Sciences from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai. Post graduation
in Life Sciences and Biotechnology from University of Mumbai. On completion
of my Master's Degree, I joined the Medical Research Council Environmental
Epidemiology Unit as a Research Co-ordinator at its Mumbai Office.
The job involved co-ordination of various on going research projects,
pertaining to the theory of 'Fetal Origins of Adult Diseases". I formed
the central hub of communication between the MRC office in Southampton,
UK and that in India and undertook several administrative tasks. I had
the opportunity to work with Dr Sudha Sane on the project on Perinatal
Autopsy Study.
These projects generated so much of useful and significant results that
we decided to go one step further and establish an independent Indian
Society with a team of renowned Indian Doctors and Scientists. I was the
fortunate one to help it develop from its infancy right to where it is
now - an established society.
Marriage and relocation caused me to leave the organisation after having
been a part of it for 2 years. As a founder member, I am still involved
with SNEHA and if you need to contact me please do so without any hesitation.
