Dr Usha Shrivastava
is currently Consultant in Public Health with Network for Child Development
and Consultant with the Collaborative Project on 'Maternal Nutrition,
Foetal Growth and Coronary Risk Factors in Young Indian Adults' being
conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi
and MRC Southampton and is also practising as Family Physician in New
Delhi.

Her
special interest area includes health behaviour research in urban and
rural population using triangulation and other qualitative tools along
with standard quantitative research methodologies.
She has also been deeply involved with a number of NGOs working on child
development, health, gender issues and reproductive health, environment
and development. Her commitment to socially and economically disadvantaged
sections is reflected in her work for urban slum-dwellers, working women
and disadvantaged children through both governmental and voluntary sector.
