Our Story

A quiet conviction that
every child matters.

"To work with marginalised communities through education, health, and socio-economic development — because dignity is not a privilege."

Founded in 1993 by T. Ramanjaneya, an engineer who chose community over career, SNEHA has spent three decades fighting child labour, empowering adolescent girls, and opening doors that institutional systems closed.

Domain 01 · Child Rights

She should be in school.
Not washing dishes.

The Muktha Program rescues children from domestic labour, bonded work, trafficking, and Devadasi dedication — and fights to restore their right to childhood, education, and dignity.

Domain 02 · Girl Child

She has a dream.
Let her keep it.

Sabala's Kishori groups give adolescent girls the knowledge, voice, and legal protection to say no to child marriage and yes to their own futures.

Domain 03 · Education

Light where
there is only darkness.

Kalika Chethana bridges learning gaps in government schools — because the right to education means nothing if the child can't actually read.

From domestic work
to economic power.

SHGs, sewing centres, microfinance, and entitlement access for Devadasi and Dalit women — because financial independence is dignity in its most concrete form. Supported by Terre des Hommes – Netherlands since 2003.

65 villages.
One classroom at a time.
